I am not a doctor but I do know a little bit about hpt's. I believe that the VERY earliest one can test + is 10dpo. At best, you will get a faint line. Or I should speak only for myself. I tested+ with Victoria using a very sensitive hpt that tested at 20mIU/ml at 11dpo. Ept early response claims to be very sensitive and it is better than most store bought brands but it test at 50mIU as does Clear Blue Easy. If you are going with a store brand- I think that the most sensitive is 25mIU and I do not know exactly which ones. There are several different Online stores that sell the 20-25mIU range tests. Be it in strips, dipsticks or cassette types. I posted a link earlier for http://www.babyforus.com. That is where I have ordered from in the past. However, I think that they only sell the strips. These can be a little messy. To save money- I prefer them though. They do have a chart on their website that list the more popular brands and tells you at what mIU they test at. That might help you. You probably know this already- but in case you do not- the less the mIU, the more sensitive the test. If you do not want to buy strips you can try going to http://www.ssahm.com/pregnancy_tests/ among several other online places. If you prefer to keep things simple and go to the store- at least look at these websites for their guides. That will help you figure out what test will better meet your needs. Sorry this is so long. I hope this helps and best wishes! Take Care... Amy
