Hello,

I am sending this message with extreme pain that I have recently lost my baby for the second time in the same period of 19 weeks of pregnancy. I am very worried as the doctors could not find any evidence of problem which had occurred me or my baby for both these incidents. My first loss of baby happened last April. Everything went smooth until the day of the incident, when I felt pain at the lower abdomen, which seems similar to that of labour. As the pain persisted for some time, I was taken to the hospital where the amniotic fluid came out and the doctors were helpless. After this incident, I had consulted several expert doctors most of them advised for cervical cercelage. Although when tested, doctors say such operation is not necessary in my case as they do not find any sign of incompetency for the cervix and can be done for psychological reasons only.

I got pregnant again within 6 months, I started taking protective medicines regularly and I was taking bed rest all the time. I had undergone cervical cercelage just as a precaution. Everything went smooth until the day of the incident, when again similar pain occurred. I was taken to the hospital where the amniotic fluid came out and I lost the baby again.

Upon examination and tests, it was found that myself and my baby, in both incidents, were normal and the doctors were unable to find out any conclusion on both these incidents.

I request you to provide me your advice to prevent such occurrings in the future and if possible to send me similar cases within your knowledge.

Thanking you and anxiously awaiting your quick response.
