I have no way of knowing if the author of this post is asking on their own behalf, and I most certainly am not a DR., but I do know from personal experience, that crank can cause ALOT of medical problems in the user. Respiratory problems, skin ulcers, and memory loss, extreme weight loss, lower resistance to infection, and malnutrition just for starters. And depending on what it is "cut" with, the health effects could be much worse. Heart, liver, kidney, lung and brain damage, stroke and even possible death. Any one of its ingredients would not be healthy for ANY person. It consists of cold and allergy medicines, iodine, ammonia, starter fluid, drain cleaner (lye), rubbing alcohol. I have heard it can even be combined with jet fuel. Its direct effects on the baby, I don't know, but I do know that the effects on you are numberous and can be severe.

This being said, you need to be up front with your Dr. and tell him of your use. I know it can't be an easy thing to do, but it is most essential. An OB needs to know the complete picture before he/she can give you and the baby adaquate care. PLEASE, by all means, ask YOUR Dr. this same question so you can be appropriately informed. Your Dr. is there to help you and give you and your baby the best possible care. This isn't possible without your openess and cooperation. I know many people come on here for anonymous advice, and most times a short uninvolved answer is fine, but this is a situation that needs to be addressed in a personal manner.

I send you big hugs and prayers. I hope you find the strength to face this head on. We all make mistakes, and it is up to each of us to make it right.
