Dear Marcella,

If you are getting postive opk's, chances are you are ovulating. After 17 months, though, I can see why you are confused. Are you with the same partner? Was your first birth a cesarean? Have you been for any testing to see whether your tubes are still properly open, etc.? And have you had your other hormone levels checked? Any of those kinds of issues could possibly affect your ability to conceive, given that you seem to be ovulating. It's probably time to take the next step and see an RE.

By the way, I'm not at all a doctor --- sorry, looking back I seem to have written my response with much more of an "authoritative voice" than I actually deserve. But I went through a lot of these issues myself.
