Just a clarification: I was not trying to encourage a self-induction. Just thought maybe if she were going to take something anyway- that kohash -also spelled cohash- would be easier on her than the castor oil. One of the cohashes taken alone (forgive me I don't know which one) will not induce labor by itself. It will however help to "ripen" the cervix. I do agree that it is best for baby to "cook" a little longer. Maybe there are other concerns we aren't aware of. Heidi is right though- some babies don't drop until just prior to labor. I know it is hard on Mom to endure. I have been there myself. Hang in there- before you know it you will have your little baby. The last month truly can seem like the longest. You are almost there though. Just a little bit more to go. Best wishes to everyone!
