Darvocet during pregnancyFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 7 Feb 2003 09:39:05 -0600 (CST)
I am over 35 and 15 weeks pregnant. I have been prescribed Darvocet 100 for Migraines. I am not concerned about the effects of large doses, but about a small does daily for an extended period of time. It seems if I can catch the headache at the onset, 1/2 of a does (one pill) remedies it for the day. Usually I wake up with the headache. Am I putting my baby at risk? I know that no birth defects have occurred in animals with this drug, but am concerned about the prolonged use. Can you give me some straight answers on this?
