Re: Since I'm not menopausal, what's causing my menopausal symptoms?From: Alicia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 5 Feb 2003 21:54:27 -0600 (CST)
I watched a program on the television while waiting in the doctors office last week and it mentioned that menopausal symptoms may begin as early as 30 years of age. They may come and go or last for a long period of time. It has something to do with fluctuating hormones, almost like your body can't make up it's mind on what it wants to do. Also, 37 isn't too early to begin having menopausal symptoms. Menopause isn't something that just happens overnight, that is why it is such an uncomfortable time for women; it may take years for menses to completely disappear. Research shows that just as puberty is beginning earlier and earlier with each generation, menopause is also beginning earlier and earlier.
