internal os funnelling..ques for DR.From: AA (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 3 Feb 2003 11:14:30 -0600 (CST)
Hi, After loss of twins at 20 wks and a battery of tests, I was diagnosed with IC. I am again pregnant with twins. I had a double McDonald cerclage placed at 12 wks and currently I am on 14 wks at modifed bedrest (Up as needed). Three days after my cerclage, my doctor did an u/s and found that my cervical length had actually lengthened from 4.2 cm to 5.0 cm. However, he found internal os funneling of about 1.2 cm. He did not change any activity restrictions and made my next appt in 2 1/2 wks. Would you advise your patients in a different way? Should I be concerned about the internal os funneling? Thanks for your help.
