very early miscarriage?From: Lindsey (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Jan 2003 22:59:45 -0600 (CST)
I conceived the first month I tried, but I had a miscarriage in Oct. of 2002. I then had 2 periods that came a little earlier than I normally have them. I usually have about a 32-34 day cycle, but these periods started on days 29 and 30. I then tried to conceive again in my next cycle. Around the 28th day, I began to feel light lower abdominal cramping, which I've never felt before. Any pre-menstrual cramping I ever have is always an hour or so before I start my period and is in my lower back, never in the front. I read that some people experience this abdominal cramping as a sign of pregnancy. I took an hpt on days 31 and 36, but both were negative. But by day 38, I was convinced I must be pregnant and that I had just tested too early. (The longest cycle I've ever had was 37 days.) But I then started my period on the afternoon of the 39th day. The second day of my period was normal until that afternoon when I filled a pad while wearing a super tampon for 5 hours. Does this sound like a possible very early miscarriage? I'm assuming there's really no way of knowing, but my only concern is whether or not it will affect my trying to conceive this month. If that is what happened, is my body ready to try that again? Also, since I've already had one definite miscarriage, is this a bad sign? I'm just very confused! Thanks for your help.
