I am 6 wks 1 day pregnant and had U/S today due to spotting and light bleeding for the last week - it has stopped now. U/S 6 days ago showed only gestational sac and yolk sac but U/S today showed baby with faint heartbeat! The fetus only measured 5.0 wks. Since a heartbeat can't usually be seen until 6 weeks is it possible the u/s measurement was inaccurate by one week or is this a sign the baby is not thriving? My doctor was not available (delivering a baby) and I'm very worried due to a missed abortion at 11 weeks last year.
