Re: Protein? Pre-term delivery with twins-let's not be so quick to judge

OK, yeah, you're probably right - I had forgotten that she implied protein could prevent all p-t deliveries. That is pretty darned silly. Anyway. Enough about Hope The Childbirth Educator .. who obviously now knows there are people on the lookout for her over-the-top advice.

So I am curious, too- to the original poster, why did your doctor only give you another 4 to 6 weeks? (And, to the original poster, protein can't HURT. You should indeed get 120 gs of protein a day, at least- that's a lot of protein. :) Good luck to you and your twinsies. If you're 25 weeks you've got a good chance of having viable babies. Hold on five more. Breathe deep. And drink raspberry tea (because I have read, many places, that raspberry tea can help the uterus stretch... just a little... and it wasn't a placebo-controlled double-blind statistically significant study... but raspberry is good for pregnant mamas - I am at high risk for pre-term labor myself and I've been drinking a ton of raspberry some days, and I swear, my uterus feels calmer on days after I've been drinking it... of course this is anecdotal, but it isn't going to HURT. :)
