I am 37 weeks and currently on my 2nd round of antibiotics for a UTI that I have had since late December. This is my third UTI of this pg. I seem to remember a news story a couple of months ago about a new study coming out that showed a link between UTI's in pregnancy and a link to brain damage in the fetus. Does anyone have any info on this. Also, for the last week or so I've been having very sharp pains in my lower to mid back, could the infection have spread to my kidneys, should I inform my dr of the pain. I am on my 2nd day of the new antibiotic, should I just give it more time to work before bothering her. Thank you for your time.
