I have read in numerous pregnancy books and magazines that hair dyes, perms, and such should be avoided. There have been no reported cases of complications due to these beauty remedies but there also have been no studies conducted on their safety during pregnancy. I asked my doctor and she said that it was up to me. I personally didn't dye my hair because of the possible risks of the chemicals being absorbed into the blood stream but only because I had other complications. It's definitely a personally decision.
