Uterus usually will contract to expel everything is inside (taking apart the fetus of course, if not at the end of pregnancy or in pathologies). When breastfeeding the uterus will contract again due to the oxitocyn (a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland). I think you should undergo US exam to be sure nothing has remained inside and contractions are due to the incoming flux. Best wishes
