Re: Strange Postpartum question

Go back to your doctor as this does sound like a prolapse. I am not a doctor, but a woman with what is called a cystorectocele (vaginal walls have collaped and bladder is literally hanging in vaginal opening). It can be repaired surgically (they like to wait until you are done having babies so you don't "break" it again). One of the concerns is infection if things are indeed hanging out. Go back for a checkup. My prolapse happened about 4 1/2 months postpartum and I am just waiting to see a urologist (in case I need a bladder lift too). Once I'm done with that, I'm having the surgery to repair. I am also having a hysterectomy based on cancer risk from family histoty. Oh yes, and if the prolapse isn't too bad or too much damage done, the surgery can be done vaginally.
