Advice needed please. False negatives?From: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 23 Jan 2003 18:36:59 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I am TTC, and am 20 days past ovulation. I use the clear-plan fertility monitor and I get ovulation spotting, so I know that I ovulated 20 days ago. I have 34-35 day cycles and I should have gotten my period 14-15 days past ovulation. I have been having strange dull mild cramps for a week now (as if my period is about to arrive), and my breasts are quite sore (though do I usually get sore breasts as PMS). My period has not come: my CM is completely clear and is more than I usually have right before a period. I have now taken 3 pregnancy tests first thing in the morning, waiting 2 days in between each one, and they all were negative. The test I am using is meant to be able to detect down to 20 mIU/ml HCG (earlypregnancytests.com). I do drink a lot of water per day (10-15 glasses) so my urine might be more dilute than normal. I am wondering if it is possible that I could still be pregnant despite these negative tests? if so, why are they coming up negative and is this a concern? Thanks in advance, Lisa
