You DO have to take the ring out throughout the pregnancy because of the chance of it tearing out. Most ob's will make you take it out. But if you have had it long enough for it to be completely healed, as in your case then there is almost no chace of it growing over in nine months. As I said my fiance is a professional piercer, he has had his septum pierced for 9 years and leaves it out for years at a time, with no problems. But definately take it out while you are pregnant, or it will tear and you will have a horrible scar.
