Hi Laura, I had a a pain like the one you are describing at 30 weeks. I went to see my dr, as he wanted to rule out a blood clot in my lung, but it turned out to be pregnancy hormones softening my muscles between my ribs! I also had this return after my son was born. I was treated with pain killers prescribed by my dr, and told to rest. I hope this helps. But please ring your dr and get checked, rarely it can be a blood clot. The muscle problems are not harmful to your baby, but the blood clot could be if untreated. Don't want to worry you. Just sharing my experiences.

Best wishes and congratulations with your pregnancy :O)
