Parlodel is used to bring down an elevated prolactin level. Elevated prolactin can quite often suppress ovulation and that is probably why you are having so many anovulatory cycles. Clomid may not be able to overcome this elevated prolactin level and may not make you ovulate either. Lowering your prolactin level may allow you to ovulate on your own without the clomid. Having personally gone through this myself, I needed to bring down the prolactin level first before anything worked. Note: prolactin is the hormone that stimulates breast milk.
