2 irregular periods; seeking adviceFrom: Margie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 21 Jan 2003 08:58:34 -0600 (CST)
I am 32 and my husband & I have been trying to conceive since August 2002. My cycles are typically 24-26 days and I have a 12-13 day luteal phase. In Sept. 2002 I was one week late and my period started on CD31. The following cycle it came very early, cd21. I started charting after that and everything was fine until Dec 2002. I had a severe sinus/ear infection and with the charting I was able to tell that I ovulated much later in my cycle (CD17 vs. CD11-13). My period was late at CD30. This cycle, my period showed up early again at CD21. I ovulated at CD15, so I am only 6dpo! What could be causing this to happen? It seems when I have one longer than normal cycle, the immediate cycle following is much shorter than normal. Should I have my progesterone or FSH/LH levels tested? Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.
