Septate UterusFrom: Linda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 20 Jan 2003 21:50:03 -0600 (CST)
I am 16 Weeks pregnant and I have been diagnosed with a Septated or Bicornate Uterus. I have been having a lot of complications (Excessive Bleeding for almost 4 weeks) accompanied by pain in the lower right abdominal area. My last Ultrasound showed that the baby is normal and placed in the right side of the Uterus. Since I am already pregnant and not sure whether my Uterus is completely or partially septated, I have some concerns/questions : 1. How exactly would the Uterus expand with the Septum? 2. Does having a Septated Uterus mean that I will have excessive pain (which I think I already do have) from the Stretching? 3. As the pregnancy progresses, what complications, if any can arise? Thank you
