Why is it you want an amnio? Only to find out if the baby has defects? Well, many women have babies everyday, that have congenital abnormalities and they didn't have an amnio. I say don't, you don't want to risk anything. Try looking at the positves of the baby instead of the what ifs. You said that if the baby was to only survive for a short time you would abort? You could have a baby with nothing wrong and it could survive for only a short period. Take what God is giving you and go with that >
