VERY Low HCG Levels - 2 betas so far, but just 4 weeks pg.

So, I am 31, LMP 12/06/02

1st beta 01/02/03 (approx) 12dpo: HCG 27 2nd beta 01/06/03 (approx) 16dpo: HCG 38

Now, the funny thing is that my period wasn't even *due* until January 3rd. (!) and I found out on the 1st because I got an EPT as a "gag" gift on New Year's Eve! (LOL!) So I did it first thing in the AM on New Year's Day and had a *faint* positive. So, because we're moving back to Germany on Saturday the 11th, I got in for a quick HCG test just to "check" on everything, hence the VERY early testing.

Now, I've had no cramps whatsoever, and no spotting/bleeding, so what I am wondering is: Does this pregnancy have a chance? Could the "not doubled" results be merely because I was tested so early? Or?

Any comments, even if they're bad news are GREATLY appreciated. Additionally, I hve to go back tomorrow AM for a 3rd test.
