I say keep the cat. They're wonderful for reducing stress, especially when they purr :o) I have four cats, myself, and it did not cause an issue for me at all. Indoor cats that do not have a questionable health history or eat rodents should not pose a toxoplasmosis issue. If you're concerned, have someone change the litter for you. Otherwise, enjoy the kitty cat.
