Does the fact they >saw nothing conclusively mean I am not pregnant, should I have asked for a >blood test, and how should i proceed now ? >Fiona 3/01/2003 it is realy a common confusing condition when tests come contradictory to the clinical situation and to each other. at 42 days postmenstrual there should be something to see by ultrasoud like a gestational sac with fetal pole or if not intrauterine adenexal mass,however,it is sometimes difficult to see ectopic pregnancy.I do not know your background with regard menstrual regularity whether you used fertility drugs or not,however, monitore any abdominal pain and have a serum test for pregnancy,It should came since your letter was 3.1.03.if serum test is also negative take progesterone to bring the period.
