First Response OPKFrom: Abby (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 5 Jan 2003 18:40:35 -0600 (CST)
I have a strange question about the First Response OPK. I have been feeling pretty crampy all day, so I decided to test. I used the method of collecting the urine in a cup and putting the absorbant end in it for 5 seconds. The line near the thumb grip is the reference line and the one to its left is the test line. My left line is dark purple. However, my reference line is a very pale lavendar. I have triple checked that I do not have the two lines confused by checking the directions and also showing dh. I know that the test line is supposed to be equal or darker if it is positive. But doesn't it seem strange that the reference line is fairly pale. Do you think that not enough urine reached the reference section of the test (had to travel further)? Should I assume that I am about to ovulate? Has this ever happened to anyone else? Thank you so much!
