Regular strong contractions for 12 hours, then they stopped! more" I'm 39 weeks today and have had false labor for over 2 weeks now. Just when I think its the real thing and we get ready for the hospital,the contractions go away. I lost my plug 1.5 weeks ago and yesterday around 4pm started spotting lightly. Then I started having contractions every 15 minutes apart, which lasted until 4am, then suddenly stopped! They were pretty painful...The baby kicked in between, so I feel confident that everything is ok... I fell asleep around 4ish, just woke up wondering WHAT? WHERE ARE THE CONTRACTIONS?! Is this normal, that after 12 hours, the contractions, which seemed very regular and 60 seconds long, suddenly stop? I mean they were painful enough to keep me up. I plan to call my doctor as soon as they open, but was seeing if I could get some feedback before then. I keep getting everyone prepared, (this has happened several times, although not for 12 hours!) and then nothing happens. Oh, and this is my 2nd child. I had to be induced with number 1 because my water broke and the contractions never came. Thanks, A very frustrated and tired mom....
