I'm a bit concerned. I had an abortion 7 weeks ago. I was on medications that could cause birth defects, and didn't want to risk that. My ob told me it was ideal to wait 2-3 cycles before trying to conceive again, but my husband and I have not been using protection. I just took a pregnancy test this morning, and it's very positive. I know it's nothing left over from the abortion because I had a follow up 2 weeks after the abortion, and the pregnancy test I took then was negative. My question for you is, is it ok to be pregnant this soon? Is there an increased chance of miscarriage? Complications? Anything? We didn't use protection simply because I did not think I would get pregnant this quickly. It took 7 months with my son. Thanks for any info you can give.
