20-week ultrasound questionFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 23 Dec 2002 08:48:35 -0600 (CST)
My amnio results came out fine and I have my 20-week U/S next week. What are the chances of finding any "unwelcome surprises" during that U/S -- such as heart or brain problems, or physical anomalies like cleft palate, webbed fingers, or clubbed feet? Wouldn't the amnio or previous U/Ss have detected these things earlier? (All the U/S technicians so far have told me everything looked normal.) Does the 20-week U/S check for things like cleft palate and club foot? What else does it check for? Or can I assume that since the U/S came out fine, the 20-week U/S should be fine too?
