Complete Placenta Previa and Abruptio Placenta at only 14 weeksFrom: Agnes (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 9 Dec 2002 15:19:07 -0600 (CST)
I am only 14 weeks pregnant, and have been diagnosed with Abruptio Placenta, and a Complete Placenta Previa. I had about 3 bleeding episoodes which came on very heavy, and stopped within a day or so, I have now been bleeding for the last 7 days, The bleeding is alternating light and occassionally heavy, very dark brown. What is concerning me is it seems like I am passing some type of tissue the whole time. Not alot, but it is there. Everything I read said the Previa causes Bright red bleeding, not brown. Is it possible I am losing this baby? I have had 2 ultrasouns in the last week, and both showed baby is still alive, but this bleeding scares me. My doctor said to call only if it is really heavy, because they said it is normal wiht my conditions to have bleeding. Any advice, or informaiton would be so appreciated, I am really nervous.
