sex after spotting for no reason in first trimester, for a doctor, please. Thank you. From: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 8 Dec 2002 14:37:19 -0600 (CST)
I have had one miscarriage (blighted ovum) and am 7.2 weeks pregnant now with some spotting on and off in week 5. All tests and ultrasounds have come up normal (normal heartbeat and all). We have only once with no spotting afterward in week 4. Should we go ahead, and if I spot, stop immediately? According to the doc, my cervix is firm and showing no signs of softening. I have always been very suseptible to UTI (3 urethral dilatations). Would you advise a patient in my situation to continue to abstain from all types of sex or intercourse?
