Strange bbt during period - really confusedFrom: Abby (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 5 Dec 2002 14:38:12 -0600 (CST)
Is it normal to have a much lower bbt during your period than you do after it stops (before you've ovulated)? During my period, I have a bbt of around 97.7. After AF, it is usually 98.2 or 98.3. Then after I ovulate, it goes to 98.9 or 99.0. Do you think that I may have a hormone imbalance? My bbt only stays really high at around 99 for 5 to 6 days and then drops back down to 98.2 for 2 to 3 days before my period. However, I think that I have a delayed rise in bbt after ovulation of about 4-5 days (after all signs positive opk, egcm, cramping, etc.) Do you have any idea what could be going on? Also, I recently went off the pill, so I am not sure if that could be a factor. My cycles are usually 29-31 days in length. Thank you.
