I am 38, no children and undergoing IUI with clomid tx. 1st off, I wont assume any of the docs will agree with the diagnosis since many don't and I'm not expecting a reply from them(and understand), but I am hoping someone will have some information. I have candida overgrowth syndrome and leaky gut syndrome. I discovered it a few months back after being on prednisone for a few months(no longer taking prednisone). I was put on a couple rounds of Diflucan and I started taking herbs(caprylic acid, grapefruitseed extract, oregano oil, acidophilus) and followed a VERY strict diet that only allows raw vegies, meat and eggs. NO sugar. I was pleased that I got it under control AND lost weight.

Is anyone out there plagued with this syndrome? Are you aware of any connection between infertility and candida overgrowth? I'm aware most of these herbs and diflucan can't be continued in pregnancy, but is it ok to take high potency acidophilus and Psyllium(the main ingredient in metamucel)? Can the syndrome itself be harmful to a pregnancy?

If anyone out there suffers with this I feel for you and hope you can help me figure this out.
