Am I overly concerned about my high blood pressure?

I will be 38 weeks pregnant in 2 days. My blood pressure was running around 15/93 nearly all day today. I called my OB's office and spoke to the doctor on call. He suggested that I come into Labor and Delivery at the hospital (an hour and a half from my home) so they could do a nonstress test on the baby and some bloodwork to see if I had preeclampsia. He said if my blood pressure did not come down today, it might be necessary to induce, as the baby should be mature enough at this gestational age. Visiting Labor and Delivery and being monitored has been a normal occurrance for me the past few weeks, as my blood pressure has been elevated and I am on 200mg Lebetalol twice daily. The nurse drew blood and monitored me for 2 hours. My blood pressure remained high and was 140/92 when they reached my regular OB by phone, who had me sent home. I don't see her again until Wednesday and right now, my blood pressure is 155/89.

I have had a headache all day today and have had vision changes (bright flashes of light or "sparkles") for two days now. Am I overreacting or should they have done more? If my labs came back normal is there still a risk associated with the high blood pressure? I'm very concerned about my baby and I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
