Dear Darcie,

1. Perhaps my immune system is stronger than most, but I beat strep throat without antibiotics before, including during this pregnancy. In fact, people had strep throat in the 19th century and made it through OK. So, it may be uncomfortable, but as long as you are not feverish, you can try living through it.

Some home remedies:

Take a glass of milk and put a teaspoon of butter in it. Microwave for 1 minute. Drink.

Drink LOTS of fluids

Eat grapefruits - at least 1 a day

Sleep lots over the weekend

Take a warm bath - or two.

Make potatoes and brathe in their steam.

2. Call your obgyn. If he/she is too busy, the nurse can certainly talk to you.

Best wishes,
