Re: Hospital Stays for C-sections

I react very badly to anesthesia. I spent all day Thursday and part of Friday with an NG tube up my nose/down my throat. It was absolutley the worse experience of my life and I couldn't wait to get out of there. My roommate said childbirth wasn't nearly as bad (her surgery was very similar to mine) and you get the pleasure of the baby to keep your spirits up. I'm 31 weeks now and going to be induced at 38 weeks. Do you know for sure you're having a c-section? I'm praying for a vaginal birth!

If you can't get a relative or friend to help out for a few days, I'd hire a local teenager or older woman to help with the 2 year old, do some simple meal preparation and light cleaning. Being 37 isn't a valid reason to stay in the hospital longer.
