Based on a gestation of 280 days, a trimester would be about 93 days which would be about 13 weeks, 2 days. Some people say each trimester is 12 weeks... but that would make for 36 week gestation period instead of 40. Personally I decided on the 13 weeks, 2 days to be on the "safe" side, especially when I wanted to get into that second trimester!
