Question with regards to ovulating and taking fertilty drugs??

I am 37...TTC#1 for about 10 months...I've been ovulating on my own...although ovulation day has moved from CD14-16 to Cycle Day 19-21...I have good cervical fluid and a luteal phase of around 12 days.

I have higher than normal FSH...3-Cycle Day 3 blood tests showed FSH at 9.1, 8, and 10.3. (all other bloodwork was fine)

I've had a HSG...everything was fine.

My RE said that when my next cycle starts she wants to see me to discuss starting fertility drugs...

If I ovulate on my own...how will fertility drugs (I'm assuming something like Clomid) be beneficial for me?? Or should I be moving on to some other type of fertility treatment?
