4 month postpartum healing questionFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 6 Nov 2002 11:57:47 -0600 (CST)
My second baby is about 4 1/2 months old. I had vaginal delivery with suction as he came face up with cord around his neck and I couldn't get him out on my own. Had some tearing. Healed fairly quickly and was feeling pretty good until about 3 weeks ago. Now my vaginal opening is about 4 inches long and it literally feels like part of me is getting ready to fall out. I am leaking a lot more urine than in the past (had very bad tear after first child and had to have catheter for 4 days following delivery) also. I called my obgyn and the soonest a doc can see me is next week. I am in a decent amount of discomfort - and oh yes, add a hemorroid to the mix and needless to say sitting isn't a whole lot of fun! I guess I'm wondering why I'm actually feeling worse after 4 months and if this is serious. I know nothing can really be diagnosed over the internet. Is this something that can wait until next week or could it cause more problems if I wait? Thanks!
