Re: tylenol with codeineFrom: Karen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 5 Nov 2002 17:39:16 -0600 (CST)
Ken, my name is Karen I have a college degree in medical assisting. The drug tylenol with codeine is a category C drug in pregnancy, which means: (1) studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the fetus and there are no controlled studies in women or, (2) studies in women and animals are not available. Drugs in this category should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the risk to the fetus. I found this information on a website when I was looking for information for myself. Hope this helps.
