Re: Consequences of not taking iron for anemia? From: marcia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 5 Nov 2002 16:35:55 -0600 (CST)
I don't know about complications; however, I thought I'd just pass on that when i was preggers, I too was amemic. I couldn't stand those iron supplements... I couldn't poop. So I promised my doctor I would try to raise my iron level with my diet and he agreed to test me later. Yes, i ate veggies.... but the best thing I did was eat one or two bowls of Total Rasin Bran every day. My anemia stayed under control. Total should hire me for a commercial.
