Thankyou to Dr's Aziz, Lapidius, McIntosh and SiegelFrom: Tracey (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 Oct 2002 16:59:47 -0600 (CST)
I have been posting questions over the past 6 weeks about pre-eclampsia, hypertension and risk of induction failure/c-section. I just wanted to thankyou all for your answers as they provided peace of mind and information that I wasn't receiving from my OB/Gyne. I was induced 1 week early with gel on Monday. The two lots of gel softened the cervix enough that they broke my waters on Tuesday and a few hours later started an oxytocin drip. After 2 hours of labour, I gave birth to a healthy baby girl weighing 7lb 9oz (3.44kg) and we are both fine and at home. The only thing that didn't go according to plan was the epidural didn't block my lower left side at all and so I used gas to help (thankfully the labour was short). Once again, if it wasn't for your answers, I'd have been an emotional and mental wreck. Thankyou for all the time you spend helping us!
