I agree with the previous poster. I am also not a DR but have just had a baby girl (on 29th Oct) induced 1 week early due to high blood pressure or hypertension.

Blood pressure above 140/90 is to be monitored! Both migraine headaches and high bp can be caused by pregnancy and one affects the other. A bad headache can raise your bp and high bp can cause a headache. The stars (affected vision) and nausea are caused by the bad headache (I also had these for 6 weeks). To be pre-eclampsic, you need other symptoms such as protein in urine and swelling and though I had both of these, my symptoms kept returning to normal so I wasn't diagnosed pre-eclampsic just hypertensive.

Tell your DR all your symptoms. You will probably be monitored and if your symptoms remain the same, induced early. (I got to hang out to 39 weeks because of bedrest). If your BP gets worse, they'll prescribe medication to treat it before opting to induce. I had headaches for 6 weeks and the only suggestion I can offer is quiet dark room, low noise level and rest. Pain relief only made my headaches mild. Hang in there, DON'T worry (it'll only make your headaches and BP worse)and you'll soon have what I have ... a healthy baby that makes all of it worth while.
