Hi- I was wondering if anyone else has had a painful group B strep culture? I just moved, and have a new OB- I am 36 weeks. (I know-- moving AND a new dr. at 36 weeks- don't ask!) NEVER has a group B strep culture I've had done been this painful! Usually no big deal- while this time I was literally gripping the sides of the table, as it felt like he was taking pliers up there and pinching my vagina- hard. I had tears in my eyes from the pain. I've had 3 kids vaginally, no epidural with any of them-- I used to think I had a high tolerance for pain. I am wondering if he "did it wrong" or if I was just being a whimp??? Should I just hurry up and find a new OB before I have this baby, or am I overreacting and it was probably no big deal- as you can imagine I'm hormonal anyway!!!!
