Fetal demise at 27 weeks, pregnancy was totally normal up to this point. From: Eileen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 Oct 2002 14:39:53 -0600 (CST)
I was 27 weeks preganat , and one day baby stopped moving, so I went to my OB GYN, and there was no heart rate or placenta noise. . I delivered the baby, and from Pathology report, we have that placenta showed evidence of villous hypoxia. also the only thing that came back on my blood is that I tested positive for Cardiolipin antibodies at 31. There was nothing abnormal in my pergnancy aup to this point the anatomical sonogram at 25 weeks showed everything perfect. I will be tested in two more weeks again for cardiolipin. If I test positive again, what should I do in my next pregnancy. Why wans't I tested for cardiolipin prior to a demise? I hear horror stories about Heparin, ref. bone loss/osteosporosis. ? What alternatives do I have? Please help me, I have s omuch anxiety for my next pregnancy.. Thanks eileen.
