I didn't have my period for five months while breastfeeding solely.
I got pregnant after my first period and actaullly miscarried 3 months later.
I continued nursing until my first child was 2 and actually got pregnant a second time.
So....it doesn't necessarily work as birth control but my 2 year old
has never been to the doctor except for well-child cehck-ups and has only
had one cold.
