Re: One ultrasound in the whole pregnancy? From: Fadette (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 Oct 2002 11:43:13 -0600 (CST)
For my first pregnancy, I was told I'd only get one ultrasound, unless there was a problem. I ended up miscarrying and now I'm pregnant again. So far my pregnancy has been completely uneventful. I have the SAME OB as with the first pregnancy. - And she asked for two u/s so far, I had one at 6 weeks and one at 7weeks (saw the heartbeat!!!!!) It must be that it depends on how your doctor percieves your pregnancy. During my first pregnancy, my OB apparently thought I'm just fine. But now she wants to be extra careful because of my earlier miscarriage. She also put me on progesterone suppositories this time.
