I am about 14-15 weeks pregnant and have recently developed severe itching. I spoke to my Dr. at my last visit and she said that during prgnancy your body does not release bile as quickly and it builds in the system as salt causing the itching. She also said there was not much that could be done. It has now reached a point of severity. I am taking benadryl, that seems to help slightly but I itch severly all over. I have itched so bad in some spots I have scabs. Any thoughts of help would be greatly appreciated.
