IVF and acupuncture

I read an article that stated some German researches think that acupuncture treatment in conjunction with IVF will increase chances of pregnancy.

Now the study had the women doing the acupuncture treatment right before and right after embryo transfer. Yet, I can only get an appointment for the day before the transfer.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had experiences to suggest a connection? Is it safe for me to try? I mean, it cannot hurt my chances, right? Also, for those who have experience with this, do you think the timing of my appointment is sufficient to increase my chances of getting pregnant?

Some of the details of the study are as follows:

The study included 160 women who were on average 32 years old and on average had already undergone two IVF cycles. 26.3% of the patients in the IVF control group became pregnant. 42.5% of the women doing acupuncture along with the IVF cycle became pregnant.
