DOC - please respond??From: Caroline (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 24 Oct 2002 20:26:58 -0500 (CDT)
I'm 10 weeks 4 days pregnant, and today the doctor heard a heartbeat on the Doppler even though he warned me beforehand that he didn't expect to. I'M SO EXCITED!! It's the first good news I've EVER gotten in any of my 5 pregnancies. Apparently the Doppler doesn't indicate the actual heartbeat, which I can't believe, given how far all medical technologies have come/ MY QUESTION: What are my chances of miscarrying at this point? OTHER QUESTION: Do Down's Syndrome babies have normal heartbeats in utero? I'm concerned about this because I'm 40 years old and have had several chromosomal miscarriages. Thank you.
